About & CV
My name is Alberte Parnuuna. I’m a visual artist and filmmaker based in Copenhagen, Denmark. I’m Inuk from Kalaallit Nunaat with roots from Denmark.
I have a MFA in Visual Culture and a BFA in Film and Media Science from University of Copenhagen.
Since graduating I’ve worked in the fields of visual art, filmmaking, project managing festivals, as a
consultant on various projects and participated in panel talks.
I position myself as an indigenous mixed person, which is often visible in the work that I do. My work mainly revolves around themes of cultural codes, identity, reflections and the effects of colonialism.
